The Transportation Security Assistants (TSA) is relaxing it'southward traveler identification rules in light of the affect of COVID-19.

TSA's folio dedicated to the pandemic states: "If your commuter'south license or state-issued ID expired on or afterward March 1, 2020, and y'all are unable to renew at your state commuter's license agency, you lot may yet use it equally acceptable identification at the checkpoint. TSA will accept expired driver's licenses or state-issued ID a year afterwards expiration or 60 days later on the elapsing of the emergency, whichever is longer."

This is a motility away from TSA's strict Existent ID Human action policy which aimed to tighten controls on ID documentation.
